A West Virginia Gem Shines Brighter Than Ever
On June 23, 2016, historic floods ravaged the state of West Virginia, and the county of Greenbrier was hit exceptionally hard.
Consequently, the 2016 Greenbrier Classic at The Old White TPC was cancelled and the iconic West Virginia resort was temporarily closed. But after just two weeks of feverish work led by owner Jim Justice and thousands of local workers, the 240-year old West Virginia landmark reopened to guests, and employees like Margaret Bennett rejoiced: “It’s been a long two weeks. I knew Mr. Justice would get us back as soon as he could.”
This week, The Old White TPC finally reopens for PGA TOUR action after months of tireless renovations, and The Greenbrier Resort once again returns to prominence as a pivotal pillar in the community and a key to West Virginia tourism.
We are tremendously proud to have clients that exhibit such phenomenal passion and perseverance, and we look are looking forward to yet another entertaining Greenbrier Classic that will undoubtedly pay huge economic dividends to this hard-working community.
